As of September 1, 2021, the number of recipients of social benefits due to loss of employment from the State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter – SSSI) amounted to 82.6 thousand people. At the same time, 58.8 thousand people have been paid for the first time this year, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reports.

According to the current legislation, dismissed employees receive social benefits for the loss of employment from 1 to 6 months, depending on the length of participation in the compulsory social insurance system and income for the last 24 months. Payment is made at the expense of the Social Insurance Fund in the amount of up to 40% of lost income.

To an employee dismissed for payment:

– Authorization on the eGov.kz portal;

– Select the service “Registration of job seekers” in the section “Employment and employment”;

– it is necessary to order the online service, fill in all the fields and sign the digital signature and send the application;

– within a day, the local employment center (hereinafter – CSC) provides vacancies;

– If a job is not found, you will be granted the status of remote unemployed within 3 working days (if necessary, you will be contacted by an employee of the PSC to collect additional information);

This service is also available online through the Electronic Labor Exchange ( enbek.kz ).

When there is information about registration as unemployed, the information system of the Ministry of Labor sends an SMS-message to the mobile phone in a proactive format to agree to the service for the purpose of payment from the Social Insurance Fund. If you agree, you need to respond to the SMS. Payment is assigned automatically.

It will be recalled that the social benefits paid in the event of loss of employment at the expense of the Social Insurance Fund are made regardless of the reasons for dismissal and are intended to support the unemployed during his job search.

As it was informed earlier, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched the function of remote service of employment centers for the population of 40 cities of Kazakhstan through the Electronic Labor Exchange.

The pilot project was launched to simplify the procedures for registration of the unemployed and to facilitate the receipt of public services to support employment, including social benefits in the event of loss of employment. Now everything can be done only with the Internet, a computer and an electronic digital signature.
