56 foreign organizations from 19 countries and 110 entities from the book industry will participate in the fair, and this year’s honorary guest will be the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Deputy Minister Farid Jafarov said during a meeting with the participation of the Ministry of Culture and publishing directors, the Ministry told APA.

He noted that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the fair, and compared to previous years, its duration has been extended: “For the first time, this year’s fair will last for 7 days. More than 320 events will be organized in various formats within the Book Festival, which is the highest figure in the 15-year history of the Baku Book Fair.”

Note that today, in connection with the preparation process for the 10th Baku International Book Fair, a meeting was held at the National Library of Azerbaijan with the participation of the Ministry of Culture and publishing directors.

During the meeting, the overall program of the fair, the
schedule and routes for buses to the Baku Expo Center, promotional activities, significant discounts on books by publishers, and other organizational issues were discussed in detail.

In the end, topics such as supporting local publishers’ participation in international book exhibitions, organizing book fairs in the regions, and implementing joint projects to promote reading culture were also discussed.
