Kyrgyzstani Aivaz Omorkanov has been elected Regional Vice-President Asia and Oceania of the International Ice Hockey Federation, RIA Novosti reported.
Omorkanov, 25, was elected Vice-President for Asia and Oceania on Saturday at the IIHF congress held in St. Petersburg.
Luc Tardif was elected the new IIHF president, succeeding Rene Fasel, who had held the post since 1994.
