A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Kazakh State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Abay and the Kyrgyz National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Abdylas Maldybaev.

The Kyrgyz National Theatre reported that the document was signed on Monday in the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek in the framework of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan.

“Cultural ties with foreign countries are an important part of the relationship between states and peoples, carried out to familiarize, enrich and further develop original national cultures, strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between people,” the report said.

Within the framework of cooperation, the theatres are planning to create joint projects by attracting directors, artists, conductors, opera and ballet soloists, as well as conducting tours, concerts with demonstrations of the best performances of the repertoire.
