Kyrgyzstan and South Korea will celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations, the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan said.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce hosted on Friday the 4th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Korean Commission on Economic Cooperation, chaired by Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev from the Kyrgyz side and Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Korea Lee Seong-ho from the Korean side.

During the meeting, Minister of Economy and Commerce Amangeldiev noted that both sides reached mutually acceptable solutions on all issues on the agenda, in particular on the intensification of bilateral trade and economic relations, cooperation through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), interaction in education, health, industry, agriculture, environment, digitalization, coordination of labor migration, tourism, as well as other equally important issues.

It was also noted that next year will mark the 30th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In this regard, the Kyrgyz side expressed an interest in organizing a visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Korea in 2022 as part of the celebration of the anniversary date.
