Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Minister of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh held bilateral talks, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The event took place on Monday in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, as part of the participation in the 6th meeting of foreign ministers of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed a wide range of issues of Kyrgyz-Mongolian cooperation, exchanged views on the further expansion of the legal framework and practical interaction of the two countries within the framework of international organizations and structures. Kazakbaev expressed gratitude for the support of the Kyrgyz Republic’s candidacy to the UN Human Rights Council for 2023-2025 and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for the period 2027-2028.
The sides agreed to hold inter-MFA consultations for a detailed discussion of specific issues of practical cooperation in the political and economic spheres.
At the end of the meeting, the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries exchanged invitations to organize mutual official visits.
