Industrial Production in Baku Reaches AZN 40 Billion.

Baku: Industrial production in Baku from January to September of the current year amounted to AZN 39.8 billion, as reported by the Baku Statistics Department. This substantial figure highlights the significant role of the industrial sector in the city’s economy.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 75.5% of the industrial production stemmed from the mining sector, while manufacturing contributed 21.4%. Additionally, the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam accounted for 2.3%, and water supply, waste treatment, and processing sectors made up 0.8%. The non-state sector was responsible for 82.6% of the industry’s output. Within total production, industrial products represented 89.9%, while industrial services accounted for 10.1%.

Most of the produced goods were dispatched to consumers, and by considering inventory from previous periods, industrial enterprises had stockpiles of finished products valued at 494.2 million manats as of October 1, 2024. Furthermore, the warehouses of
industrial enterprises contained additional products acquired from other enterprises, intended for sale, worth 46.5 million manats.
