For the first time, a collection of works by the legendary classic of Azerbaijani literature, the greatest humanist poet, romantic playwright and wise philosopher Huseyn Javid has been published in the Kyrgyz language. The embassy of Azerbaijan in the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
The book titled “Chygarmalar” includes the following works of the outstanding thinker and genius: dramas “Khayyam”, “Lame Timur”, “Azezil”, as well as poems “Love for flowers”, “Withering flower”, “Do not rejoice in someone else’s grief”, “My lord”, “Didn’t see”, “Comet”, “Sheikh-Sanan”, “Pink burqa”, “Go away”, “Refugee”.
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Kyrgyz Republic Gidayat Orudzhev wrote a preface to this collection entitled “Shakespeare of the East”. It says that the publication will serve the cultural mutual enrichment of the peoples of the two fraternal countries.
“The poems of the outstanding Azerbaijani playwright have been translated into many languages of the world. “I am very glad that today they were published in the language of the great Manas, as well as the glorious son of the Kyrgyz people, Chingiz Aitmatov,” the ambassador noted.
According to him, Huseyn Javid is an outstanding person who further increased the glory of Azerbaijani and Eastern poetry and introduced the ideas of Turkism to it. It was he who became the founder of romanticism, the discoverer of the genre of poetic drama and tragedy in national literature.
“The unique poet, who became famous during his lifetime, was not accidentally called the Shakespeare of the East. All his works are imbued with deep philosophical meaning and do not leave the reader indifferent, regardless of what language they are translated into. Javid’s work is still relevant today, ”Orudzhev said.
Thanks to the skilful translation and the great work of the poet Kozogeldi Kultegin, as well as the philologist-Turkologist Kalmamat Kulamshaev, Kyrgyz readers will be able to touch the work of one of the best and world-famous poets of Azerbaijan, get to know his rich inner world and deep philosophical thoughts.
The book was published at the Turar printing house at a high polygraphic level and contains color illustrations of the best quality.
