BAKU: Decline in French diplomacy from Talleyrand to ambassador in Armenia appears regrettable, Trend reports via the Western Azerbaijan Community’s statement.

According to the statement, a person presenting himself as the French ambassador to Armenia continues to make absurd claims.

“He never misses an opportunity, even in matters completely unrelated to him, to launch attacks on Azerbaijan, speaking not as a diplomat, but as a representative of the Dashnak, revanchist Armenian Church,” the statement said.

By spreading such claims, especially after the Armenian Prime Minister’s speech at the UN General Assembly, he further discredits not only himself but also France, which has disgraced itself in recent years by being expelled from several countries, the statement emphasized.

“We would like to remind the person presenting himself as an ambassador that, namely, Azerbaijan suffered from occupation for 30 years, and France essentially supported this. We also want to recall Ahmadia Jabrayilov and other sons
of the Azerbaijani people who selflessly fought for the liberation of France when it was under Nazi Germany’s occupation,” added the statement.
