In Kazakhstan, the volume of trade increased by 11%, according to the report of the portal zakon.kz.
According to a study by Energyprom.kz , in January-August 2021, the volume of wholesale trade in the country amounted to 16.7 trillion tenge, 18.5% more in money than a year earlier.
In real terms, the growth was 10.5%.
Including 17.4% of sales accounted for food products (2.9 trillion tenge, plus 5.1% per year), another 82.6% – for non-food products (13.8 trillion tenge, plus 21.8%) , – noted in the publication.
For comparison: in the same period of 2020, the sector experienced an expected decline – by 7.3% per year in value terms, to 14.1 trillion tenge.
In the regional context, more than a third of the total volume of wholesale sales fell on Almaty: 39.3% of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or 6.6 trillion tenge, in money terms – plus 8.7% per year.
The second and third lines are occupied by the capital (2.5 trillion tenge, plus 21.1%) and the Atyrau region (2.3 trillion tenge, plus 60.4%).
The largest increase in the indicator is observed in the Atyrau region, the smallest was recorded in the West Kazakhstan region – by 0.9% to 232.2 billion tenge.
Small business provided 12.9 trillion tenge of wholesale sales, 15% more than a year earlier. Medium enterprises accounted for 3.2 trillion tenge (plus 35.1%), large enterprises – 643.9 billion tenge (plus 18.4%).
