The international business forum “Dialogue of Women Entrepreneurs Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan” is being held in Bishkek today, September 21, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reports.

The forum is attended by Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Aida Kasymalieva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva, UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Central Asia Natalya German, Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Khilalbi Kurbonzoda, Chairperson of the Committee on International Affairs , defense and security of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Aigul Kuspan, as well as women entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Aida Kasymalieva noted that for the first time women entrepreneurs united, creating a platform for dialogue in a wide format and wished the forum participants fruitful work.

The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva indicated that 32% of the deputies of the Uzbek parliament are women, thus the state policy is aimed at ensuring gender equality. According to her, funds are allocated from the state budget to support women entrepreneurs and a special bank has been created for them.

During the forum, participants raised questions about supporting the activities of women entrepreneurs, briefly spoke about their business experience.
