General

BAKU: Azerbaijan is set to implement a new policy allowing the leasing of agricultural lands to residents of villages and towns in its recently liberated territories. These lands, located close to residential areas within village and settlement borders, will be leased on preferential terms. This initiative is part of an amendment to the law “On Land Lease,” which was discussed in a recent session of the Milli Majlis, the Azerbaijani Parliament.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft law outlines that agricultural lands in these liberated regions will also be leased to business entities. The leasing process will be governed by investment competitions, as determined by the relevant executive authority. The proposal, after being put to a vote, was approved in its third reading by the parliament.
