BAKU: Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, President of the Togolese Republic, on November 13, APA reports. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the COP29 event, where both leaders exchanged views on enhancing bilateral relations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his gratitude to President Gnassingbé for his participation in the conference and commended the excellent organization of the event. The Azerbaijani leader emphasized the importance his country places on fostering relations with African nations, particularly Togo.
The discussions between the two presidents also covered potential areas of collaboration, including education and agriculture. Both leaders showed interest in exploring further opportunities to strengthen ties and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Togo.
