BAKU: On September 26, within the framework of the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Foreign Minister of Albania Igli Hasani, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, Trend reports.
The issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Albania, as well as the current regional situation were discussed at the meeting.
The importance of joint efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries based on friendship, mutual respect and mutually beneficial cooperation in political, economic, energy security, culture and education was noted.
It was emphasized that cooperation in the energy sector is the main driving force of bilateral economic relations.
In addition to bilateral relations, the importance of continuing the existing mutually beneficial cooperation, mutual support and solidarity activities within the framework of multilateral platforms was noted.
The meeting also included
an exchange of views on other topics of mutual interest.
