Akan Abdualiyev, Chairman of the Committee for Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that one of the most important social directions of state policy is to create a barrier-free environment for people with special needs. In this regard, the Ministry of Culture and Sports for the first time this year organizes the Republican Festival “If you are an artist” in order to develop the creative potential and professional skills of talented people with special needs, as well as to support cultural organizations and non-governmental organizations working with people with special needs. .
Chairman of the Committee on Culture The purpose of the festival is vocal, dance, fine arts, acting, crafts, etc. He noted that it is to unite and support the creative needs of people with special needs in various fields of culture and art. According to him, the ministry always supports people with special needs. He also noted that a special nomination was considered in the framework of the Republican Festival of Spiritual Treasures of Culture and Arts, which has been held in the country since 2018. This nomination is awarded to libraries and their staff for the blind and visually impaired in the country.
“Museums of the country support free exhibitions of artists and craftsmen with disabilities. In particular, the Abilkhan Kasteyev State Museum of Art is currently preparing for a personal exhibition of the famous domestic landscape artist Anar Abzhanova, ”Akan Abdualiyev said.
According to him, according to the list of paid services provided by cultural organizations, free admission is provided for people with disabilities. Also, in the event of restrictions related to the Covid pandemic, these citizens are provided with cultural services online.
“In particular, the State Museum of Arts named after A. Kasteyev offered special video tours for people with hearing impairments,” said the chairman of the Committee on Culture.
In this regard, he noted that today’s festival is an opportunity for the state to identify talented citizens with special needs in the country, as well as to support cultural organizations and non-governmental organizations that work with people with special needs.
